Shawn Erese graduated from FPU with a BS in Kinesiology, with a focus on Pre-Physical Therapy, followed by the PTA program at Clovis Institute of Technology, after which he obtained his Physical Therapist Assistant licensure. His clinical training has provided him with comprehension of anatomy and biomechanics, and the ability to perform vestibular rehabilitation and improve functional ability of those with upper or lower quarter injuries within an outpatient setting. He possesses various manual therapy techniques honed by 3 years of experience and certification in orthopedic manual therapy, including joint mobilizations and associated exercises to further facilitate functional activity and other modes of therapeutic techniques, treatment, and modalities.
His approach to physical therapy is empathetic and patient-centered care within the plan of care as outlined by the physical therapist and patient upon initial evaluation. “I strive to work towards patient goals and make every clinical interaction meaningful and impactful”.
In his free time, Shawn enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, usually to Pasadena for conventions or attending 49ers games in Santa Clara. He also enjoys practicing dance with various styles under his belt, listening to music, and drawing.
