What is a Ganglion Cyst?
A Ganglion Cyst is a lump of tissue filled with fluid that forms from a joint capsule or tendon sheath. It is usually caused by an injury or multiple occurrences of trauma to the foot.
Symptoms of Ganglion Cyst
- Numbness
- Pain if this pressing on a nerve, joint, or tendon
- Visible Lump
- Loss of mobility or discomfort
Ganglion Cyst Treatments
- If the patient has pain, surgical removal of the cyst and clean up of the joint.
- If not, shoe wear modification
- Toe sleeve to decrease the pressure of the cyst
